I doubt that Ferrari will bring that thing at Le Mans, is way to road oriented compared to LMP1 cars. And without the giant fin, it won't pass LMP car rules.

Maybe some form of F1 powertrain testing? Or testing for something else?
I have to agree with you there though, not close to being LMP1, but what could it be for actually??

No, not that car, but they are throwing aero bits on one of their chassis that puts it outside the GT categories. It's working towards a prototype car. The article (Italian, sorry. I used Google translate) says 2016 for LMP1.

A one off for a very lucky customer? A factory special? Very likely. Or that's a lot of work for an engine mule. But it would be nice to see Ferrari, Porsche, and Audi duke it out on tarmac.

I may cry if this happens.
Please, McLaren. Please, take the P1 to Le Mans. P1 vs. F70 vs. 919. Do it. Do it. Do it.

This looks like more of a LaFerrari FXX type of thing rather than a LMP. I'd love to see Ferrari at Le Mans in a prototype though.
